AUDITION INFO

* We are seeking performers who write their own material with the themes given below (family time & true confession).
* Your story should be told/performed monologue style in 3-5 min (props not needed)
* We are not afraid of 'adult' content - obviously we will have to bleep profanity - but we welcome all material, racy or not. We want performers who can 'let loose' and can take the audience with them on a wild ride.
* Your larger than life personality must come through as you tell us your story. We want to imagine and feel your story with you!

CURRENTLY CASTING STORY THEMES

FAMILY TIME

We are looking for stories about the performers' families where the attitudes, character, beliefs, and/or culture of the family make them markedly different than their wider community in some way.
When performers tell stories about their family we want them to perform the larger-than-life characters in the family in funny, dramatic and clever ways. This may mean taking on the physical attributes of their family member or altering their voice to illustrate a character. *A good example would be John Leguizamo - a performer who takes on the physical characteristics, accent, mannerisms and voice of his mom, dad, uncles, aunts as he tells a story about his family.

TRUE CONFESSIONS

We're looking for stories in which the performer has to face some part of themselves that they are uncomfortable with, good or bad. We want to watch as performers confront something difficult/shameful/ embarrassing; and on the flip side, stories where the performer did something good in secret and never told anyone.
*We want the audience to feel like they are being let in on a personal secret or confession, something intimate.
