I have a strange happy dalliance with stories where we, as children, realize that the adults are not always right. It's an odd moment of growing up where you stop believing in everything you are told, and start understanding that people around you have motives of their own. This little anecdote carried a nice moment of that.
But who knows. Maybe the Blowfish of the world feel happy and fantastic all the time and are the superior species we may never know about.
